I’m a software developer with a focus on open source ecosystems — how they’re built, governed, and sustained. I’ve spent years thinking about the gap between the rhetoric of “free software” and the reality of contributor burnout, unpaid labor, and corporate capture of community projects.

This site is where I collect thoughts that are too long for a chat message but too rough for a formal article.

What I write about

Open source — governance models, sustainability, licensing, the economics of free software, and what it actually means to “give back.”

Labor rights — collective action in tech, the gig economy, remote work conditions, and how we organize (or fail to) as a profession.

Development work — things I’m building, technical decisions I find interesting, tools that changed how I think.

Background

I work in and around open source software communities. I’m interested in the Drupal ecosystem and the broader question of how volunteer-driven infrastructure gets sustained over time.
